Whether it be changes within work, relationships, lifestyle, friendships – absolutely anything – you will never see the changes you want manifest if you are not willing to make one yourself. Progress is impossible without change.

Dipping my toes into photgraphy is one of the most fulfilling things I have done in my spare time. I am learning on my own by reading, observing and listening to advice.
I am figuring out the preset game and the best editing tools out there. Right now I am using Light Room by Adobe Photoshop. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I am using our old faithful Canon EOS 20D. It takes amazing photographs and is quite easy to use. Someday I hopefully will be able to upgrade to a more recent model.
Looking forward to documenting all the beauty around by slowing down life a bit. Photographs or it never happened!

I spent my Spring Break giving our bathrooms a facelift. What a difference a little paint and new dècor does for a room or three. I chose a fresh color to brighten up dark and dingy rooms and added some splash of color with artifical flowers.
I found the wall dècor and flowers at Ross, Marshalls and Cost Plus World Market for such a bargain. Valspar paint in Spring Thaw from Lowe’s.
I added a new planels for our bathroom downstairs to hide our washer and dryer. I love the crochet detail on the bottom. The lantern adds some light to a bathroom without a window.
Looking forward to freshening up my sink area next.
As always, thank you for visiting my page.

It has been roughly a year since I have been on my mat and let me just say it is good to be back. The past year I have been dealing with an annoying cyst in my foot that has made it difficult to practice, but now with a second dose of cortisone in my foot, I am able to practice again without pain or discomfort.
This past Saturday was my first morning back and I totally slayed my practice. I was stronger than I thought I was going to be, my mind was calmer than it has been and felt all around peaceful. I felt so amazing when I left my mat I decided to take a Pilates/Barre class on Sunday and slayed it again. There is a saying “When you own your breath, nobody can steal your peace.” This is completely how I felt during and after my practice’s this past weekend.

My favorite yoga to practice is Heated Vinyasa. It is a studio room heated around 78-95 degrees. You typically expect a specific sequence of poses that smoothly flow together. You may also hear the terms Ashtanga, Baptiste Yoga, Jivamukti, Power Yoga and Prana Flow that are also considered vinyasa yoga.
I encourage anyone that has not practiced yoga or has been off their mat for a period of time to find the time to experience or reconnect with their mat. I am most thankful I did.
Until next time -Namaste

I thought I would share a few of my favorite beauty products that I am addicted to. These products give me the Fresh-Dewy look this girl loves.
I always begin with a clean slate which is my First Aid Beauty Cleanser, First Aid Beauty Moisturizer and Must Dew by Limelight. Once I have step one complete I am ready for my day-look application.
Step 1: Tarte Shape Tape, 2 in 1 full covereage concealer. Sculpt and highlight as you mask any imperfections. It is hydrating, long wearing and delivers a radiant coverage.
(I apply with a concealer sponge)
Step 2: Tarte BB Cream, Oil -free, vegan tinited moisturizer that offers light-medium coverage. I love that it diffuses the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It has an Amazonian clay-powered formula with chamomile and vitamins A, C, and E to nourish your complexion. (I apply with a blender sponge)
Step 3: MAC Studio Fix Powder, A one-step powder/foudation that gives skin a smooth, flawless finish. It is long-wearing and adds a velvety texture that allows your skin to breathe. (I lightly dust over my face with my Limelight Professional Vegan All Over Powder Brush)
Step 4: Limelight Perfect Bronzer, This bronzer I use below my cheek bones to give a light sun-kissed illusion. It is ideal for all skin tones to enhance your natural glow.
(I apply my bronzer with my tapered powder brush by Limelight)
Step 5: Urban Decay Perversion Mascara, This ultra creamy, lengthening and volumizing mascara is amazing. It glides on easily and creates sexy lashes instantly.
(I apply as directed for stand-out lashes)
Step 6: MAC Prep+Prime fix +, Finish your look with this lightweight mist of water packed with vitamins and minerals. It is hydrating, sets and prolongs the wear of makeup. (Spray and get on with your bad self!)

I have been missing the crunch of crackers and chips living the keto lifestyle, so I made Kale Chips! Kale Yeah! I did and they are delicious and satisfied my craving for traditional chips.
1 head of kale
2 tablespoons avocado oil or olive oil
Himalayan pink salt, for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Wash and dry kale and cut into bite size pieces, removing the ribs. Lay kale on baking sheet lined with parchment paper and toss with avocado or olive oil and salt. Bake until crisp about 10-15 minutes, turning leaves halfway through.

Oh my… Sweet T’s! Last night my mom took the hubs and I out to dinner to a restaurant that we had not experienced. It was so delicious from the cocktails to the main courses.
We started with Grey Goose Martinis and Crispy Brussel Sprouts that were flashed fried and served with a spicy garlic lemon aioli. I could have eaten the whole bucket myself, but I unfortunately had to share.
My mom and I had the pan seared Atlantic Salmon with a tequila lime butter sauce, spinach and mashed potatoes and the hubs had the Cajun Shrimp Gumbo (extra spicy). Both dishes were outstanding. We paired our main courses with a delicious bottle on La Crema Pinot Nior [YUMMY].
Sweet T’s Restaurant and Bar is an upscale/casual southern slow-cooked BBQ eatery with indoor and outdoor seating. The bar area has a welcoming fun feel, the perfect place to catch up with friends, family or co-workers for happy hour. They have a great beer and wine selection as well as tasty specialty cocktails.
Sweet T’s is located in the hills of Santa Rosa (Fountaingrove area) for more information about this awesome place to eat, drink and be merry click → Sweet T’s

The tasting lineup at Duckhorn Vineyards, Napa Valley
Writing a blog can take up a significant amount of precious free time, especially if you feel compelled, as we do, to post at least once a week. With the pressure of jobs, kids, dogs, and the rest of life, we sometimes ask ourselves “is it worth it?” Just when one of us feels like taking a break, something good motivates us to keep at it. For us, the latest “something good” was making a connection through our blog (and our Twitter account @topochinesvino ) with Carol Reber, the Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer at Duckhorn Wine Company. One half of this blog duo has worked in Marketing for the past 15 years and has a strong affinity for branding, communications, marketing, sales and distribution. So when we connected with Carol via Twitter and she invited us to come up to Duckhorn Vineyards…

Calling all my Mother Truckers!!! I have been looking for my first Trucker for a while but none really gave me that “gotta have it” feeling. Then I saw a post via Instagram by the lovely Tori Spelling wearing hers that said #MOMLIFE. About a day later I saw another post by the inspiring Tamra Judge wearing #FITMOM. At that moment, I found myself browsing Mother Trucker & Co and fell in love with all of their Truckers!
Two mama’s started this awesome company, which inspired me even more to purchase my SHELL YEAH! Trucker from them. So come and join the Mother Trucker Family and follow them on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook! Please visit Mother Trucker & Co and enjoy!
